How Flora's work has shaped my creative process
I would not be where I am today without Flora. Her work and teachings have been essential to my journey.
I personally discovered her work back in 2015 when my husband and I lived in Florida. We spent a year there and everyday I created art at the dining room table. Even though I was creating so much - I was navigating major burn out from 6 years of design school, I had so much fear and doubt searching for my own artistic style, and feeling like I needed something deeper in my own process. I was also trying to tune into whether it was time to start a family.
Just knowing of Flora and learning about her process shifted something huge within me. I remembered I could give myself permission to play, to use my fingers instead of brushes, and I credit her for helping me fall in love with the creative process all over again. I connected to something much deeper along the way and rediscovered my intuition and inner knowing.
A few years later I went to one of her retreats at the Ghost Ranch in New Mexico. I was 3 months pregnant at the time and that retreat became a pivotal point for me as an artist. My experience there laid an incredible foundation for my journey as an artist and mom. There's so much to share around that retreat alone I created it's own episode. I believe as the world continues to change and the systems we’ve built our lives around feel more and more unstable that this next era belongs to the creatives. There’s a silent, but ever growing revolution happening all over the planet. One where we’re all waking up and realizing just how much power we have when we stop consuming and start creating the lives and the world that we want to live in. The revolution will not be televised, but it is happening all around us and you are invited to join in.

Flora is an artist, a top-selling author, and internationally recognized creative guide whose work has helped shape the modern intuitive art movement for over the last 15 years. She’s inspired thousands of people around the world to embrace creativity not simply as an artistic practice, but as a pathway to greater courage, resilience, and aliveness.
As I release this episode Flora is packing up her car and preparing for a 7500 mile journey across the US where she’ll host 6 workshops, sharing her love for creativity and holding space for others to come deeper into their own creative process.

A personal note + my own retreat offering
I know I'm sitting with those same questions above and the answer shifts from day to day, but I'm finding some constant answers like echoes from my creative soul coming back over and over again. Those answers are like guiding lights I return to when things feel too dark. Lights that guide me exactly where I'm meant to be.
I felt so moved when I heard what Flora was doing. I instantly knew I wanted to support her efforts and all of the beautiful souls on the retreats. I love what we came up with and had so much fun creating 500 sketchbooks for the tour plus a super fun bookmark - all of which will be part of the retreat goodie bag.
