A Conversation on The Hive Agreements
Episode 37:
Reading The Hive Agreements feels like the deep exhale we all need. I read this book on our trip to Florida at the beginning of the summer and the wisdom in it has become this gentle heartbeat that's been guiding me to a more compassionate and loving space.
This episode is for you if you’ve ever felt like you don’t belong, struggled to share your voice, or you’re totally exhausted from doing it alone.
Watch the conversation here:
The first step to bring harmony is having the courage and willingness to live in our truth. To believe that our voice, our experience, and our frequency are necessary in this world, just as each bee is esssential to the hive.
-Excerpt from the Hive Agreements
The Hive Agreements was written by Nicole Fox, Sacha Sterling, Jennifer Brown, & Amber Kuileimailani Bonnici. Join me as I dive in with two of the book’s authors Nicole and Jennifer.

In this episode you'll hear:
How the bees brought them together at a retreat
The guidance and downloads they received from the bees
How that guidance became their own instructions as they went deep in their healing work together
Ways that you can work with the bees in your creative practice

One of my favorite takeaways from this book is that harmony is the heart of the hive. The bees have some radical ideas around what harmony truly is and spoiler alert - there's room to have our own voice and unique expression and still move forward together. Here's one of my favorite pages of the book. A Prayer for Harmony...

Creative Practices
The bees have been showing up all over in my life whether it's on the canvas, in conversations, or when I'm outside. They vibrate with the frequency of unconditional love and their invitation is for us to bring to life what we're here to create.
Here's some powerful ways to connect to and work with the bee energy in your work...
Draw images of bees
Make a buzzing sound like a bee (check out the health benefits of this below!)
Spend some time around flowers and maybe even plant your own pollinator garden
Find some local honey or honey from you favorite place
Take the Sustainability Quiz here and find out how where you're living sustainably and where you could create more harmony
Start your own circle

The Health Benefits of Buzzing
I had to look up the health benefits of buzzing because I had a feeling there were many. Check out these benefits!
🌿 Calms the Nervous System - activates the parasympathetic nervous system
🌬️ Increases Nitric Oxide - think open airways and more oxygen throughout your entire body
🧠 Stimulates the Vagus Nerve -
💓 Creates Vibrational Relaxation - releases tension in your muscles
🎵 Supports Emotional Well-Being
🧘 Can Enhance Meditation - becomes a focal point to help you find your zen faster
You can look up the science behind any of these benefits. Of course, the sound the bees make holds a healing vibration for us too. It's just incredible!
Join the Bee Sisterhood
The Bee Sisterhood is a community of women committed to creating harmony for ourselves, each other, and the world. Their mission is that every woman creates a sustainable life, so together we create a sustainable world.
They do this through sisterhood, sacred belonging, and sustainability, what they call the Holy TriniBee.
The Bee Sisterhood is guided by bee wisdom and the Hive Agreements, foundational teachings that support women to live in harmony without self-sacrifice, comparison, or depletion. The Way of the Hive is not about fixing ourselves or the world. It is about remembering that we are already sacred and whole, and choosing to live in alignment with that truth. Together, we create harmony.
